So, so true, Rich! Doesn't take much effort to copy and paste to post an answer for a fan and potential customer. No big deal that the fan page already answered someone.

I'm imagining someone calling in to customer service, asking a question, then being told, "Here's the number of someone who asked the same question. I just answered them. Why don't you give them a call to find out what I told them!" :o)

I've actually scrolled W-A-Y down my wall to copy and paste an answer for someone new. Chances are there are A LOT of people who never saw the initial question or my answer.

Have a GREAT day!

It seems as though the team of SM managers do it through pure engagement and other traditional tactics. They built a clear audience and sponsors followed. The details of how they acquired the sponsors and partnerships were not disclosed.

The Devils are also a team dominated by market rivals in media attention, so this type of daily information sharing fed a hungry fan base, which equalled a nice online buzz.

Would like to know more about the tactics they used.. It's a good story, and one worth reporting. I was looking for a 'how', not just a 'who' and 'what' in the story

Thanks for reading my post Jon! I appreciate you taking the time out to read it and the encouragement. Personally, Path is definitely taking longer to grow in terms of people using it, but I'm fine with that. I think it will give them more time to fine-tune and perfect their vision. More people will join, sure, but due the intimate nature of the app it will just take a lot of time. Thanks again man!

I can tell you, for example, what is the situation with social media projects in Russia, KHL club Spartak Moscow. It's pretty funny & interest)

This is going to be a really interesting concept moving forward. It seems similar to what the Cleveland Indians did with their social media club, which they started in 2010. While their efforts were not quite as organized, the concept was the same. Find super-fans; get them passes for the game at the stadium; get them to spread the word, using their already established social media influence; and hope the campaign brings in new fans.

Justin, well done, man! I agree that Path is a beautiful app and it's nicely tied in with all your inner-circle friends if they have smartphones. I really wish more of my friends would get on Path! And yeah, the sleep/wake feature is probably the one we all say, 'ah, damn, I forgot to tell everyone I'm awake!'...it's a nice idea but we just won't ever remember. Best of luck to you.
